Ralph brings a tenured and successful career in executive leadership roles in the high tech industry to Top Gun Ventures. His experience and passion for building great teams, and his ability to match the right skills and experiences with the right roles, will be invaluable as he works with clients to provide “GameChanging” leaders.
Ralph began his career in the high tech and communications industries in roles that spanned entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. This was followed by a high-velocity career as an executive at Microsoft. During his 12-years with the company his experiences included msn Transpoint, Microsoft’s first Software as a Service (SaaS) in the internet bill delivery and payment arena. Next he helped lead Global Enterprise Sales, taking Microsoft’s software products to the world’s largest Enterprises. Driving this $11B business, Ralph was responsible for the go-to-market strategy, market segmentation, account coverage models, learning and readiness, sales, services integration, industry marketing, roles and responsibilities, and compensation. Then as a Vice President in the U.S. Subsidiary, Ralph had P&L responsibility for $1B of software sales and all customer relations in the Western U.S. Following, Ralph led Microsoft’s efforts across Government, Education and Healthcare working across the globe on closing the digital divide and improving socio-economic outcomes through technology. Ralph rounded out his career at Microsoft in the $3B Telecommunications Sector where he drove new business models including sell-to and sell-through to the world’s largest mobile service providers.
Additionally, Ralph brings unique insights to talent development and high performance leadership from five-years in Consulting and Executive Coaching as the President of RDY Consulting Inc. He helped clients drive strategy development and implementation, change management, operational execution, go-to-market strategy, global organizational design, leadership development and coaching, and executive hiring. Ralph was also an Advisory Board member for a Seattle-based tech start-up.
Ralph has a commitment to community involvement demonstrated by leading a youth group for Homes Without Boundaries on Mexican home building missions. He is a past President and longtime board member of the Mercer Island Schools Foundation and was part of a task force that evaluated and recommended a new approach to the High School’s AP/IB curriculum.
He is a member of the Human Capital Institute (HCI), one of today’s fastest growing executive associations with members that share a conviction that human capital is the only sustainable competitive advantage in the modern economy.
Ralph holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago and a BA in business management and psychology from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, OH.
