Cathy Lieberman is an executive coach, facilitator and change management consultant.  Her focus is on driving the performance of organizational leaders.  As a catalyst for change, Cathy brings a unique style to her consulting practice with her authentic and compassionate nature and her proficiency at viewing people and organizations holistically.

She founded CDL Business Consulting in 2010 utilizing her 25 years of managerial experience leading and coaching managers with expertise in finance, information technology, strategy, human resources, development and operations. Cathy held a variety of leadership roles at AT&T in addition to executive roles in three non-profits in the education industry.

In 2014, Cathy joined Simitri Group International, a global organization that delivers high quality training, coaching and consulting across 27 countries, as a senior consultant. In this role, Cathy facilitates workshops to Fortune 500 companies on topics including leadership, management, communications skills and personal effectiveness in addition to serving as an executive coach.

For the past six years, CDL Business Consulting has provided consulting and coaching services for organizations and their leaders. Cathy’s consulting engagements include local and national organizations. In 2010, Cathy founded the Chicago Chapter of the COO Forum, a national association providing professional development to second-in-command executives through peer-to-peer collaboration, education, forums and networking. She has facilitated over 70 meetings of second-in-command professionals.

Cathy’s warm and engaging style provides an objective view while delivering support, guidance, encouragement and impact. She has a proven track record in building strong teams and promoting growth. She also facilitates retreats and is a skilled public speaker and presenter.

Cathy has worked extensively with non-profits as a board member, board chair, administrator and consultant. She currently serves as a board member for WorldChicago and works with U.S. State Department-sponsored programs to host diplomatic missions highlighting Chicago’s place as a global center for business, culture, arts and innovation. She also serves as a Mentor for the Leadership Circle of the Executives Club of Chicago.

Cathy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Methods from the University of Illinois with an academic emphasis in statistics and information technology. She has attended executive education programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of Michigan Business School and is certified in Coaching for Learning and Performance from Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy.
